The fix to the underlying problem is pay enough money to make people want the job.

You want to be a janitor? "No" You want to be a janitor for $40/hr? "Hell yeah"

To show they know you, at least a bit. Cash can obviously used by everyone about anywhere, but for that reason it can be given to someone you don't know at all and they'll like it.

A gift card shows that the giver at least believes they know the gifted well enough to know where they like to spend money. They just don't know them well enough to know they would like "this specific thing" and know they don't already one one.

You can think that, except If you want to think that, I wouldn't look up the allowable amounts of insect parts or other stuff in what you eat.

But here's the handbook straight from the fda if you want to anyhow. https://www.fda.gov/food/current-good-manufacturing-practices-cgmps-food-and-dietary-supplements/food-defect-levels-handbook

So people don't want to work for a small amount of money, and brexit is being blamed? Because that just sounds like poor people were being taken advantage out out of desperation for a job.

Fear the cost? It's pretty cheap. Problem with fentanyl is that you can't really stop the supply. You can make it from way too many different things and the dosage is so potent you just need a tiny amount. It's not like meth where you can control one ingredient and it will cut off a ton of supply.

No. It's that most drug users have become aware of narcan, how to use it, and that we started leaving narcan with addicts and their family members after running an overdose call to them, that pretty much all the police, fire, and ems all keep narcan on hand, and that anyone can walk into target and buy the stuff.

Pretty much all the overdoses are from heroin and/or fentanyl. Narcan just gets misted up a nostril and about 2 to 5 minutes later it's taken over the receptors that heroin/fentanyl bind to.

So the drug problem isn't lessening. We just started handing out the antidote to an overdose like candy on Halloween

There's currently 15,000,000 houses in the US that aren't even being lived in right now. We in no way have to increase the production rate of building more houses in order to house everyone.

It was a bit different. Brexit wasn't hiring workers for $14/hour because legal residents would be doing the job for $25/hour.

Besides that, we don't need more houses being built so much as we need a hard cap on any entity owning more than a few rental houses.

Vista had better features and stuff, but people hated it because it was a huge jump in needing extra resources and any mid tier or lower laptop that came pre-installed with it the first year was underspecced for it, so it ran like turd on those and sucked away gaming performance on everyone's rig.

95 wasn't bad. 98 had some bugs and they quickly released 98SE, which was great and then they released the soggy turd of windows Millennium.

That was their disaster year. Windows ME, released just 2 years after 98 in 2000, and written out of existence just one year later by Windows XP.

What an astonishing bunch of dumb fucks. Having electric vehicles and charging stations in there (which is what caused the fire), aside from things like electrical shorts, lots of computers and printers and all the random stuff firef8ghters like bringing with them to work, electrical shorts in vehicles, and things like forgetting to shut off a stove when an alarm call comes out and everyone is rushing out the door....it's ironic, but fire stations definitely burn down. It's not a one in a million occurance, and that station was HUGE. How dumb do you have to be to have a building and stuff stored there all worth way in excess of $20,000,000 and not spend the chump change on an alarm system?

It looks like it's a re-drawn image and not an actual "copy" of the image, so wouldn't that mean they can't do fuck all about it? Obviously it was made to look like the image, but does that actually count for anything? I wouldn't think it would.

Stuff got too easy to really have to delve into a deeper understanding, most of the time, now. No jumpers, no dip switches, no pre-loading drivers or plugs that can be plugged into places they shouldn't get plugged into. Everything is color coded and plug n play. You don't have to dive in and assign com ports or anything.

I learned as I went because I wanted to get shit to work and that took a lot of educating to get there. Now, most of the time the situation doesn't come up, so that deeper understanding is a building block that just got skipped over. The offshoot is that when the more rare occasion arises that a deeper understanding is required, it's usually got a person way behind the 8 ball to be able to recognize and fix the issue.

Ethanol free gas doesn't mean there aren't any no knock additives. There's several more things besides Ethanol that can be added to gasoline that will increase the octane. Strictly speaking, "gasoline" isn't even one exact formulation.

Short of it is that ethanol free gas just means it's using something else to boost the octane.

  • Just curious if anyone else has had issues with their track pads on the OLED models. My left side touch pad doesn't "depress" down at all in the middle, and requires much more force around the sides to depress down and "click". If you go by the haptic pressure measurement, the right side will click at around 3,000 anywhere on the pad,, but the left side takes about 10,000 around the edges and never does in the middle.

06 tribute manual transmission clutch hard to press.

All of a sudden my clutch went from totally normal to very hard to press down. It's now been this way for quite a long time. It's a hydraulic clutch (clutch was replaced by a shop a few months prior to the issue, but me and the shop....did not get along.) in an 06 tribute with a 4 cylinder motor. Looking for what I'll need done in order to not have to break my leg to shift the thing. Thanks. I figure it's something the shop didn't do correctly, as it was supposed to have new flywheel, pressure plate, clutch disc, pilot bearing and throw-out bearing but there's no way to verify they replaced it all or did it correctly and the problem started suddenly about 3 months later.
