My friends and I used to do something similar in uni. When we were drunk we used to just say "oh thats a problem for future me" before we did something that would cause a massive problem. After many miserable sunday mornings drunk me decided to be much nicer to future me. We ended up looking at drunk tasks as time skipping. Like if there was a 2hr walk home from the someones house we would be like oh ill do this drunk because its a time skip and ill wake up in my bed not remembering the walk home. Or cleaning the house, if you clean drunk then future you will wake up to a clean house. I'd wake up to a clean house, no hangover because i rememered to drink water, a powerrade next to my bed and id be like thanks drunk me.

Concerns Raised Over Bitwarden Moving Further Away From Open-Source

Understandable concerns and reasonable response assuming it's true. I hope it remains open source because I spent so much time moving over and getting my family on board and using it. I'd hate to have to move again.

The Fediverse has the advantage of being able to control its size. If 10 million people join lemmy tomorrow and most of them go to lemmy.World and then lemmy.World users start causing trouble then that instance gets defederated.

Other than that we only have human moderation which can be overwhelmed.

Its true that Ben Gurion was in palestine at this time but its not true that any Zionist military groups were operating at this time. Its not true that violence and colonialism were underway. Migration to a country and living there is not colonialism. You are welcome to provide sources that disprove this but from what I could find there was nothing that would justify barring Jewish migration at this time.

  • Fizz Fizz 5d ago 100%

The first migrations of jews had already occured at this time, mainly refugees from Russia fleeing pogroms against jews under the Tsarist regime. Yes jewish migration had begun but at this point majority of the migration was to america and only 30-40,000 went to palestine which was a tiny fraction of the population and the jews remained a single digit percentage of the population.

After the ottoman empire fell and British began administering the region the tension towards the British was justified since the arabs that revolted were promised their independent. But at the time of this protest I don't believe the anti jewish sentiment was justified. There was very little migration and there had not been any noteable violence. In the years after this protest things began to kick off and migration and violent clashes ramped up. Which is why I stand by my original statement.

Also i couldnt find what ottoman census you are looking at but the one i found which was the 1914 census puts total jews in the empire at 187,000 not 400,000. They were a tiny minority in a huge arab population the first wave of jewish migration didnt even put a dent in the demographic stats.

No, the migration at this time was tiny. There were only a few thousand jews sometimes less migrating per year and they were at this point a single digit percentage of the population. Most of the jews fleeing russia and austia-hungry went to America. I believe 30-40,000 went to Palestine and 800,000 went to america. A bit after 1920 the migration would become insane with hundreds of thousands of jews arriving legally and illegally.

Someone can correct me on this but I believe at the point in time there was no Jewish violence or mass migration so these protests were purely motivated by xenophobia.

That was my rule and I broke it for city skylines 2 because the trailer looked so good and the youtuber videos looked so good. But it was so shallow and the entire economy was smoke and mirrors.

I've been experimenting with this awesome mod and creating some interesting roads. I've ran into a lot of bugs especially with roads containing train tracks. The first road I added was a 1 way highway that was train, car, car, bus This was good for cleanly getting rail into the hard to reach areas of the city but its very hard to peel the rail line off the road without artifacting and visual glitches. The next road I tried was a CPP inspired rapid transit lane. Sidewalk - Bus - Median - tram, tram - median - bus - Sidewalk. This seems to work quite well for a central city public transport area. The only downside being that now I have to actually fix the godawful mess that is public transport in my city.

I want to put the steak onto a hot pan to get that sear on the outside and uh lock in the flavor or something. But butter burns at high heats and oil doesn't add flavor like butter. Is there a way I can get the best of both? A nice sear but still cook in butter? Says it's a stirlon for example.
