I might be too late already, but I'll take Tadej.

First it had an issue where it would not open by itself (without being attached to a file) but I think that is fixed?
I am a very old school user, so I don't like the very minimal menu system on the editor. Prefer a more traditional look and feel.
And don't know if it MarkText or Markdown in general, but the formatting of the file (bullets, spacing, etc.) can change quite radically if I open a file in MarkText or some other MD editor. Tables are kind of an issue as well.

Thanks! I have been using MarkText as my notepad like editor, but not entirely happy with it. Also have used Zettler, which I probably don't know how to use very efficiently (probably more features than I really need) but the editing screen isn't quite what I like, so am looking forward to using yours.

I tried to install this from Discover (Kubuntu) and it said it was not in the repository. I tried the Flathub link and it gave an error (but it might be because of the content blocker on the wifi I am on).

And yet, I can't read a book that Internet Archive actually owns a copy of.

This is a fantastic project and I wish you the best of luck with it and hope you have lots of attendees.
I do think there is a business opportunity (or perhaps a charitable one) of refurbishing/reselling older machines by doing just what your seminars are doing, but installing Linux and then selling the machine. Many people could use a machine that costs less than say, $200, but is still very functional for everyday usage.

Of course you have that in KDE, just don't have a panel with a systray.

I recently "downgraded" from Neon (when they went to Plasma 6) to Kubuntu (which is running 5.27)
Overall I would say that Kubuntu has had fewer issues than Neon did, even excluding the Plasma 6 upgrade (which pretty much broke my system.)
MylesRyden 8mo ago • 100%
I would agree with with many of the issues you have experienced here. Nothing personal, but I am kinda glad, I thought I was going crazy and was the only one having these issues.
Totally agree on the shutdown, etc.
Biggest thing that is broken for me is simple window management. If I have two apps on a desktop, clicking on the the bottom one doesn't raise it to the top. If I open a context menu (for example, right clicking on a link in the browser) the menu opens UNDER the browser.
On my machine, 6 is not ready for prime time. And I have no idea how to categorize things to try and report the bugs. Could be Wayland issues, but I can't figure out how to start a Plasma 6 session in X11 to see if the problems go away. Maybe my window issues are a result of using Activities (which apparently no one else does) but I don't want to shut all that down.
I've decided to (re-)install Kubuntu to go back to 5.27 and hopefully come back when 6 is actually ready.

Only side to side...I get an arrow in the corner, but the windows will not resize diagonally. Oddly it is the KDE apps (Settings, KDenlive) that don't work. Vivaldi resizes fine.
MylesRyden 8mo ago • 0%
That does move the window around, but resizing the window with the mouse does not work. So, I can move the window around, but I can't resize the window so it is between the panel bars.

It is not making my day very good, that is for sure. Perhaps there is a way to run it under X11 still and that might help for me, I have an older machine.

Yes, but I don't want to use the app maximized, when I hit the resize button, the app goes off the screen.
Is there a way to revert back to Plasma 5.27? I don't think [#Plasma6](https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/Plasma6) is ready for prime time. When I open apps, the title bar goes above the screen space and I can't move or close the app or use the menus. [@kde](https://lemmy.kde.social/c/kde)
So far, I have to say that my [#KDE](https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/KDE) [#Plasma6](https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/Plasma6) experience sucks. The theme I was using doesn't work. The icons all suck. EventCalendar, which was synced to my Google calendar is dead. Vivaldi looks like crap. The panel at the bottom of my screen is floating up probably 100 pixels, leaving useless space below it, I can't find a way to sink it to the actual bottom of the screen. I had increased all my font sizes because my eyes are bad, they have all shrunk and changing the font sizes and the interface percentage doesn't fix it. So far, not a happy experience [@kde](https://lemmy.kde.social/c/kde)
This looks very interesting, something any opensource organization/project might want to emulate. Right [@kde](https://lemmy.kde.social/c/kde) ? I have been very happy using KDE for at least 5 years now (maybe more, time is flying for me).
I am very much looking forward to the release of 6!

Can't make the chat, but really looking forward to the P6 release day. Been using Neon for a couple of years now (Kubuntu before that) and couldn't be more pleased!

Now that is driving me crazy, it looks so familiar, but I just can't place it.👿
Found it!
It's Librewolf, a Firefox fork.
