Not another street circuit

Wouldn’t it be ironic if this is the first in a string of such incidents and they have to cancel the GP due to track issues?

Looking at the layoffs at the AAA publishers I wouldn’t bet on it.
Let’s see them actually release something before getting excited, now it’s just cheap publicity

It’s one GP I’m going to skip, everything about that weekend is just a publicity stunt and money grab. Not how you gain fans imho

Danny’s car also had a failure, his brake duct broke pretty early in the race.

Too bad, he did his best with a one stop. But rules are rules, and harsh penalties are there to discourage intentional lowering the ride height.
Maybe also don’t do sprint races on bumpy tracks, or even better not at all.

Good for him, hope he gets a solid race

They really put the words in his mouth, but in the end he is agreeing with the statement.

Shameful from FOM to even allow the race to go ahead, let alone complete with so many complaining about the heat. Zonlicht for safety first.

Let’s hope McLaren can built on this year and not have a start like this year.

It still irks me that people think those upset by the 2021 finale are so because Hamilton didn’t get his 8the world title. In all fairness, Red Bull made the right call to pit at the SC, and if the race would have restarted correctly would have had a fair shot at winning.
Problem is that Massi threw away the rulebook by letting only the cars between Hamilton and Verstappen overtake. If he wanted an epic last 4 lap, then red flag the race, let everyone change tires and see two of the greatest drivers ever in F1 duke it out on track.
Now we got a sour end to an epic season, with many people turned off by the sport and there will always be a footnote with Max’s first WDC.

Not to mention Horner boasting in drive to survive that “it’s only fun if Toto gets riled up”
Honestly to me it’s a bunch of millionaires and billionaires taking stabs at each other. I don’t care and I don’t understand why people like to play offended in their stead.

Do you mean like the shit stirring master Christian Horner, who told in drive to survive ice cold that “it’s only funny when Toto gets riled up”? Because compared to that Mercedes is absolutely down right civil.
Sure it sounds a bit moany, doesn’t mean he isn’t right after ha ing paired with 3 world champions. Not to mention to have his 8th world title to be stolen (not just by the bullshit call in the last 3 laps of the last race) but also by max just crashing him out when max couldn’t compete.
Helmut Marko also just say what’s on his mind, do you see that as childish jabs as well?
Maybe try not to take the little jabs from millionaire drivers amongst each other as personal insult and just enjoy the sport.
I had my doubts when they announced it, and first pictures didn’t look that great to be honest. But once I saw it on track, just wow. Together with their performance, really makes me feel nostalgic to the good old days.
Today, after 3 months of golf, I hit my first Birdie on our local par 3 course! What a feeling!
I added a post in lemmy.world/c/formula1, I get comments on it and I can see it online. However not when I go to the community on memmy, only through my profile by clicking on a comment. Is there an error in the app or is this maybe something ik my lemmy@world account settings?
I have it on good authority that it’s race week, where is all the buzz?
Any of our southern brothers and sisters wanting to share how their season is going?
When browsing through the feeds it’s not clear if you’re in all, local or subscribed, could you maybe add something in the right upper corner (where hou now select the feed) to show which feed is being shown?
When I rotate my screen (accidentally or to see a picture in landscape mode), my feed jumps back a couple of posts. Could you add a rotation lock in the app settings?
Just … thanks, this is a huge quality of life update. Being able to blur nsfw, block communities and post is making this ever better. Keep up the good work, looking forward to test the new UI and searching.
Would be great if you could choose between all, subscribed and favourits only

How do I search for other communities? Or do I need to subscribe through the web version of me lemmy instance? Looks promising, like the Apollo feel en being able to easily enlarge images
Is it possible to limit the size of a post on the feed? There are now some very long posts to scroll through before I get toetje next post.
Is there a way to open an image and zoom in within the app itself?
