Didn't expect to see Towa again. Guess this is a vtuber anime now lol

Hm, I don't think Level 99 Villainess was as bad as this one though.

I love the voice acting performance in this anime, especially Momo's

Honjoji giving Ohara a frog-shaped stone was adorable.

Tsutsujimori is great. Hopefully this is the start of a better life for Hiro

but I just seriously wish anime would stop doing this.
Yes. I know this kinda thing wasn't unusual in medieval times, but man, even if the setting's similar, you don't actually have to follow it that strictly. Especially doubling down with the 'I like em younger' comment. When he said that I was hoping he saw her actual age somehow, but that doesn't excuse much even if that's the case.
from some future plot element
If true, that kinda feels like a hindsight excuse.
(Sorry for the late reaction, I only just watched the first ep)

Visually, this anime is pretty hard to look at. So many stillframes, yet inconsistent and often pretty bad looking too imo. When there is animation, it's often still quite static. Storywise, the manga does a better job, imo, at executing it.
I think I'll drop this and just continue the manga.

but I spent most of it trying to remember who everybody was or why I care
Yeah, I was afraid of this happening to me too, so I rewatched season 2 before, which really helped.

So far, I've started:
- Dandadan: pretty fun so far.
- 365 Days To The Wedding: fun premise and characters. Always appreciate shows with adults as MCs. I can only hope the premise of forcibly sending an employee to an overseas branch can't happen in real life though, but I wouldn't be surprised if it can.
- Villainess Goes Down in History: not great so far. Prefer the manga.
- Re:Zero: interesting start. Curious to see where it goes.
- SAO Alternative GGO II: meh start. No reason to care yet.
- Demon Lord 2099: cool setup, but there are a lot of ways this can go wrong, so still a bit on edge.
I've also caught up with the new Monogatari season. I love it, especially the latest arc.
Also still continuing 2.5D Seduction which is still fun.
I want to watch Magilumiere, but it's on Prime and I'm not too thrilled about giving Amazon money.

Some shorter anime are fine for some 4-koma adaptations (loved I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying for example), but generally, please no. Especially for story focused anime.
It doesn't even make much sense either. 24 minutes is already short compared to most beloved shows coming out of Netflix, HBO or Prime.

The Villainess Just Wants To Live In Peace is on Webtoons now! I'm pretty happy with that, since they're a much more reasonable official source than Tapas imo. So I think I'll switch from sailing the seven seas to that.

from the proliferation of magic abilities and from the genocide of immortals
These points make it extra weird. It's not as if he wasn't going to do it without those points.

It's also his insistence of being a superior being compared to mortals that bothers me.

Cool world and interesting setting. I'm not really feeling the MC so far though. He wants to try and conquer the world again, but like, why? Sounded like they were the bad guys, so why should we care? Sure, it'a a cyberpunky world so there's probably rampant corporatism and whatnot, but not sure totalitarianism is much better. Or are they going to pull a 'the demon lord was a good guy all along'?
But only 1 ep is out so far, so maybe I'm spouting nonsense and I should not speculate this much yet. It's just that I can see this going in a, imo, boring/generic direction pretty quickly, despite the cool setting.

You may as well sue everyone then, especially on the internet and even more so on Twitter. To sue randos on the internet as a famous person because someone said something bad about you is just wild and petty, unless it did considerable harm to your reputation.

Just for a tweet from 2 years ago? Seems a little extreme. Was this person that influential that people actually started thinking this?

If you're on a free plan, doesn't it make sense for them to push their paid plans to you? They don't sell your data so they need to make money somehow.

Yea that's my issue so far too. Last season had stakes. This one doesn't (yet, hopefully).

Hmm, I'm not usually a fan of the "I'm going to force you to become my wife"/"stealing the girl" plots. Feels like such a cheap way to force animosity, so not sure how to feel about this.
Wrath is interesting though. The eyes and hair colour could make one think this is Fortuna, but that could be a red herring.
The spoiler tags used in Eternity `>!!<` don't seem to be compliant with how the majority of Lemmy apps handle spoilers. The web UI for example uses the following: ``` ::: spoiler spoiler ::: ``` It seems most apps follow this (Voyager for example). This causes spoiler tags made with Eternity to be ineffective, since they don't show up as spoilers and vice versa. This can become quite annoying in communities discussing movies, tv, anime, books, manga etc
I've been ripping my anime bluray collection and wanted to have an easier way to sort it for Jellyfin, so I wanted to try Shoko Server, but it's not recognizing any of my anime. It sees the actual files, but categorizes them all as Unrecognized, making the entire idea of using it for automated sorting pointless. I'm struggling to find guides on this and the documentation is quite lacking. I don't know what I'm wrong. Are there certain rules I need to be following in order for Shoko to hash correctly? Does it hash the name? The actual ripped files? My folder structure is setup in a way that Jellyfin properly recognizes it (without using the Shoko plugin yet), so like so for example: ``` - Fate/stay night: ubw (2014) ---- Season 01 ---------- <episode> S01E01 - Fate/stay night: ubw (2015) ---- Season 01 ---------- you get the idea ``` Since multi season anime often are separate entries, each season is usually its own main folder (which is one of the reasons I wanted to try Shoko to see if I could combine them into one so that I don´t have multiple entries for what is really only 1 anime series). Anyone here that uses Shoko and have some tips? EDIT: thanks for the information and tips everyone. Seems like Shoko might not be what I'm actually looking for.
This was displayed yesterday in the app when the new chapter was supposed to be uploaded. They even removed it from the library. I can't see it in my MangaPlus library and the Mihon extension says that it's removed. The Japanese version does still exist it seems and properly got the new chapter. I read some speculation that this might be due to copyright reasons of the translated song lyrics. If that's the case, I don't understand why the Japanese version would still be up, since I assume they use the real lyrics. Anyway, this is quite sad. I hope it gets resolved soon.
