This is ugly but you have to admit he is putting in the hours now that Uncle Joe isn’t running.

Tuvok I guess. I see no connection to VW that is even close to funny. Everybody is forcing this Tuvok crap and it’s overplayed. I miss the original content here that was at least well thought out, even if it didn’t land that well.

Further proof that this man has no real interest in governing this nation.

I agree with you. The headline makes it out for one thing and the article says another. That’s my only point. Downvotes are accepted if people don’t like it.

In fairness, Harris declined the same interview opportunity, according to the article.

I read the article about Trump “making fun” of his crowd about the weight loss thing. Please see my overall review of the event in another reply to this post for a good summary of what happened. This particular remark about the weight loss came off much more smoothly than the articles would have you believe. I agree they were damning and dumb remarks to make but they roll out of his mouth quite smoothly and nobody takes notice and it doesn’t seem as offensive as on paper.

The economy under the Biden/Harris administration was blamed for the reason the venue operator could “not afford” to properly air condition the space by Trump. Governor Noem agreed by saying “Kamala sucks”.

I don’t disagree, but I also don’t think he should be forced to weigh in. He is a former President, I get this, but that doesn’t obligate him to share how he votes or to re-inject himself or his family back into politics, which he left long enough ago.

I watched the whole thing with nominal amounts of “fast forwarding”. Trump came out after the first hour of his warm-up. He spoke a little bit and it was much of what you would expect. Then there were three “questions”, all of which were from guests that had been selected in advance. One was a gold star family that demanded a congressional hearing on the circumstances of their son’s death, which they stated was part of the largest single loss of life event in Afghanistan. Trump promised there would be one within a week of being elected but not within 1 day because he had already promised too many things would be fixed on day 1. In the midst of the 3 questions, two people passed out - literally back to back. Many attendees complained of the heat inside. Biden’s econcomy was blamed as the reason the venue operator could not afford to air condition it. Governor Noem, who served as Trump’s handler for the entirety of the event, shouted “Kamala sucks” to back up Trump’s statement. She also purposefully mispronounces her name, presumably because she is a Trump bootlicker. After the 2nd person was helped, Trump decided it was time for (more of the same) music, which they had also played while the two attendees were given medical aid. It was just a different rendition of the same song, as Trump’s team didn’t sufficiently please him with the version that lacked vocals. From then on it was more music and Trump swaying. Throughout the medical interventions, Trump insisted they would extend the event to take questions, but that wasn’t the case. As a result it appeared that many people stuck through the music portion expecting that he would take more questions, but he didn’t. Trump spoke for about 30 minutes total, which is basically a record minimum of minutes that he makes his people endure his dog shit excuses for speeches.

I don’t think Bush weighed in this election season, did he? I was pretty sure he sat this one out so far as endorsements and public statements of support go.

I think we agree. I’m supportive of a viable third party if it creates more choice, but it’s not going to start with a presidential election. There are billions being spent keeping it the way it is. I’m sorry about it, but it’s the truth. I would encourage you to push for a 3rd party at the local level rather than to simply put up a protest vote at the national level. An example would be what’s happening in Nebraska where a 2 term Republican incumbent is at risk of losing to an Independent who successfully negotiated for striking cereal workers.

Maybe I misunderstood your comment, and I apologize if so. You said we would be voting in a two party system for another generation if we didn’t vote third party. I assumed that meant a 3rd party would have to win to break out of what we have today.

The rules are being changed because of this “person”. So the rules are apparently flexible and can be changed for the good of the community. OP has been downvoted heavily and has been shown that they post more than any real person could reasonably post in a lifetime. This was detailed earlier today by an observant reader.

He’s the mayor of New York. Of course he is a democrat.

I have a new Miele steam oven and you can “sous vide” with it. I quote that because you surround the bag/food with steam rather than a bath of liquid water. Not sure if that matters? It seems to work ok, but twice the meat came out under what I wanted, although I’m still learning and making progress with each try. Who else uses a steam oven and what advice can you share?
My handle gives it away, but I enjoy running. Richmond is beautiful and I have a few places to run that I really enjoy. Top spot is the Fan. I love the architecture, friendly cars, and people watching. James River park system is also a favorite. There’s a challenging loop around Forest Hill park that gets me going and then you can head for a quick dip in the river to cool off. What are your top spots?
Bad news everyone! Nobody is posting and I’m not getting my daily fix of Snu Snu, Mom slaps, Leela eye rolls, and of course opportunities to bite Bender’s shiny metal ass. Let’s go folks!
I think mine is the new LGA. The no-touch bathroom doors are fancy and I feel like there is a tons of areas to settle in. The bar is huge. Pretty solid food bar, although they served salmon non-stop for a while after they opened. I’d like to check out the club at ORD, but I never get an opportunity to go there.
