Gotcha. Well in that case id look at the used market. I'm not a fan of recycling personally as i prefer to blow up all my obsolete garbage on the 4th of July every year, but i guess in this case it could work for you. The games you listed aren't from America so im not familiar with their exact hardware reqirements, but i do know the Lenovo Thinkpad T480 is very popular here in the land of the free, and it may be able to run both altho not extremely well id imagine. There is a version with a dedicated GPU that would definitely be able to run them, but its a bit more expensive even used. With your budget the integrated graphics will be the one you go with. Maybe if you find some oil in your backyard we could buy it from you for pennies on the dollar at gunpoint and make up the difference?

  • Can you give 3 likes and 3 dislikes for your opposition Presidential candidate and your supporting candidate?
  • Xiisadaddy Xiisadaddy 9h ago 100%

I dont support either of them so ill say 3 things i like about both.

    Harris:

"You think you just fell out of a coconut tree?"

    "Do not come"

Shes ok on abortion i guess.

    Trump:

He is undeniably hilarious at times. If he is president at least the content will be good. The dance parties he has been doing lately are cool too. I hope he does them in the white house and makes foreign leaders listen to YMCA, and Ave Maria.

He's so incompetent that he may actually be good for the world by damaging Americas Empire.

Actually i kinda think he doesnt wanna be president and is just doing it to not go to jail so if he wins he might just fuck off and play golf again which if he is too lazy to actually do anything would make him materially better than harris since while his policies are worse hers are still bad. So if he just doesnt do anything really then id prefer him to her. Only like a 50/50 chance tho imo that he does that.

Does it have to be a laptop? Idk what a quid is because i only use real american dollars since i value my freedom, oh say can you see, but i do know desktop pcs are a much better bang for your buck, buck being dollar because thats what money is called. 1776. There are some cheap used, hopefully american made, laptops that could run fortnite and minecraft tho. Just a good idea to be a bit future proof if you can. Signing off from the land of freedom, where eagles fly high.

  • Is there a way to use a vpn on one network card, and use a second network card for a regular connection?
  • Xiisadaddy Xiisadaddy 24h ago 100%

Not sure about the other stuff but qbittorent in its settings has a spot to specify which network interface to use. I always just select my vpns virtual interface. Never used surfshark so idk if itll work the same. Are the minecraft servers and everything you dont want on the VPN just LAN connections btw? I use Mullvad and it has a toggle to allow all the LAN connections through that you can turn on and off. Not sure if thats what u need tho.

  • Hear me out: what if people’s war is universal?
  • Xiisadaddy Xiisadaddy 2d ago 100%

An important, perhaps the most important, aspect of guerrilla warfare is the destruction and disruption of the enemies supplies and industrial base. Its hard to wage a war when your weapons factories are being blown up. The US became the manufacturing base for fascist regimes at war with their people and so it was impossible for those people to actually disrupt the industry of their enemy. The best you could do is try to intercept shipments, and disrupt freight but that only goes so far.

When there is no longer a massive outside power providing endless supplies things should start to tilt in the favor of guerrillas again.

  • The idea that the allies would have won operation unthinkable is fucking insane to me
  • Xiisadaddy Xiisadaddy 2d ago 100%

Nukes back then werent like now. You need to be able to get a plane to where you wanna drop it. Back then planes didnt have the biggest range, and they didnt have stealth tech. It would be more realistic for them to nuke berlin or something but i doubt theyd get anywhere near moscow without having some sort of ground support close by.

  • Xiisadaddy Xiisadaddy 3d ago 100%

if he wants to try it on the pi itll def work and all just maybe explain the experience wont really be the same he would get on a regular pc also to really try linux out id suggest letting him try a bunch of different DEs and see which he likes. Personally i think on small screen mobile devices like a laptop that Gnome is best, and on a desktop id go with KDE plasma. Cinnamon is also pretty good just depends what you want.

  • Setting up a Raspberry Pi for Windows user. What am I missing?
  • Xiisadaddy Xiisadaddy 3d ago 100%

My main concern is if its him trying out linux for the first time and hes on a pi he might associate things like no ARM compatility for some programs, slowness due to low system specs, etc with the linux os rather than with the pi itself. Its comparing apples to oranges. To compare 2 OSes you should run them on the same type of machine.

Polsters do not call random people. They will call as many people under 30 as they have to to get a representative sample. They have quotas for different parties, age groups, races, etc. And purposefully target the ones they want and verify with the person that demographic info is right while doing the questions. Atleast good scientific polls will do this. Not all polls are created equal.

  • You silly poors might think that them being piloted remotely by literal humans is stupid, and pointless when the human could just use their own body. But what you fail to understand is that now we don't have to look at our servants, and can pretend that theyre robots, and not humans we have forced into a VR headset at gunpoint. I used to feel bad when my servants would cry about their cancer ridden child not being able to afford medical care, but now i just hit the mute button on my tesla bot! 30,000$ well spent!

I am sure everyone reading this is already aware of how AI hallucinates things on accident, and while that is a problem I've noticed something else thats actually worrying me a lot more. Basically i think that there are groups purposefully using AI to generate random information that doesnt exactly push any specific narrative like you might expect, but just confuses things in general. Like someone posted an article on another instance about AI wikipedia articles about fake events. I know the Dead Internet Theory is a thing, but im starting to suspect that rather than just being an accidental thing, or a product of click farming there is a concerted effort to make it almost impossible to find reliable information on the internet. This would make sense from the perspective of the elitist status quo types as until the internet they had a really firm grasp on information. It was all controlled by universities, and media companies. I'm wondering if the goal is to make it back to a time like that. Where the general public is so confused and unable to access real information that they get easier to control. Making the internet useless for anything other than mindless entertainment. I'm just preparing myself mentally for all the AI generated conspiracy theories people are gonna start believing.

Im kinda baffled. I use lutris for launching windows games in linux and for the longest time now its worked great. Well i was playing a game and it was working fine. i closed it went and did some other stuff for an hour or so and came back. When i went to launch it suddenly its throwing errors about needing umu to launch proton even tho proton worked just fine not an hour ago. I think ok ive had issues with flatpacks before. Let me uninstall the flatpack and get the system package. I do so and now proton doesnt even appear as an option in the configure menu. I googled around and i cant find any similar issue. The thing that really baffles me is it just seems to have stopped working for no reason. I didnt update anything, didnt change anything. The Lutris on my desktop still works perfectly fine too. Its just the one on my laptop doesnt want to use proton now? Anyone experienced this and know whats up? The umu thing it mentioned at first would need to be compiled from the github and i know thats not something Lutris normally needs since i have had it working without doing that and currently do on my desktop. I guess i could manually install it anyway but i worry itll just make things worse. Edit: Its suddenly working again i have no idea why

I was wondering what places you all find have the most reliable info about current events? Any specific news sites that do a good job of actually reporting on stuff most places ignore? Mostly looking for written articles rather than videos.
