So... I really, really, REALLY want to get better at sewing. I can sew some simple things like zipper bags, but it's like every time I completely forgot the last time and have to start over again.

@Kuchenschwarte Well, I wouldn’t even know what a good pattern looks like. I’ve tried some people say are good, but they all seem to assume some basic knowledge. I ideally need a class that starts from “This is called a needle” and builds from there.

I can sew some simple things like zipper bags, but it's like every time I completely forgot the last time and have to start over again. I am desperate for a step-by-step for complete beginners guide that I can use to retain some knowledge and will allow me to build up confidence and skills. I don't mind if it's paid, I just want to truly improve. Any recommendations, friends? Boosts super appreciated 💗 [\#sewing](https://mas.to/tags/sewing) [@sewing](https://a.gup.pe/u/sewing)

@Mouselemming My mobile client seems to automatically do it, I haven't done it myself. I just hit reply as it shows on my feed :)

@HonoraryMancunian It’s about a yarn bowl which has an indentation on the side to pull your yarn out. The indicated diameter is the diameter of the bowl and how far you can pull the yarn out without the bowl toppling or the ball falling out.

@quinacridone Hope you enjoy! I love their patterns and my self-taught knitting journey started with their incredible beginner's guides. I learned socks with their tutorial too and every pair I've done has turned out perfect.

@quinacridone You would absolutely love Tin Can Knits. They have tons of written guides for beginners with pictures, and videos aren't mandatory in any way.
