That's a pretty common mindset amongst small instance runners I think, including the one I'm on. Only caveat, this instance doesn't allow NSFW posting (viewing is fine), and has a pretty vague ban policy lmao

There's a higher rate of people reporting cards not working after transacting with AllArk, and no response statement from AllArk to those claims. In my opinion, perhaps not scammers, but also not the most reputable company to deal with. Transact at your own risk I suppose?

Isn't AllArk a non-automated service with poor reputation? Conduct business with AllArk at your own risk people, https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/zslbgv/your_experience_with_allarkio

As long as it isn't actual credentials from reputable sites, it's almost definitely a scam lol

Yeah, but if you were to advertise your instance, this is probably something I'd put as a selling point, rather than have some racist person sign up to your instance only to get banned a couple days later.

Defederation because of harassment seems excessive, surely one can just mute a user? Not sure if I'd be comfortable with your defedation policy. It's one thing to defederate from definitely-illegal-content like CSAM, it's another thing to defederate because feelings were hurt.

So long as major instances continue to rely on blacklists rather than whitelists, that won't be a problem for the hundreds of small instances.

The end game is to either run your own instance, or find an instance that is run by an admin with the same mindset as you might have.

It's a great take and I hope they do continue to ban/block more controversial topics so people spread out more.

That's not how federation works. You can still interact with lemmy.world and its users from another instance, but spreading out not only helps with lemmy.world's load, but also the fediverse.

Wait till lemmy.world is up, and then run the tool?

Almost definitely, it's hard to imagine there's a community on lemmy.world that not one of the 20k users have susbcribed to
remkit 1y ago • 100%
One can easily get around that by simply subscribing to more communities!

It's actually really bad. With how big it is, it's now the default for even new mobile applications, which means it will now only grow bigger. 5x is just the start. We are just seeing the start of the centralised decentralised Lemmyverse.
