I actually disagree. Your comment is a good example. You state your case up front, add a bit of context, but then there are some screenshots that take up quite a bit of space. I do appreciate the possibility of voting on the comment without having to scroll all the way down to find the arrows, without gaining much in terms of understanding your message further.

Estes são os que sigo em português, e acho que têm grande qualidade em média (são bem preparados e editados, não são apenas uns gajos a falar), mas certamente haverá outros que o pessoal ache interessantes para este tipo de partilha e discussão.

Em um sistema assim, as decisões iam ser tomadas por quem tem mais tempo livre.

Essa preocupação do tempo é bem pertinente, mas eu fiquei com ideia que a participação seria compensada, como por exemplo é hoje quando as pessoas fazem parte das mesas de voto. Ou no mínimo que haveria dispensa de trabalho sem perda de rendimentos ou direitos (como também já acontece hoje no caso de candidatos a eleições). Nesses moldes, não me parece que fosse ser dominado por algum setor da população em particular.

Podes expandir ambos os pontos? Nao sei se consigo acompanhar o raciocínio.

Eu sei que há alguma aversão a posts feitos por bots, mas dá-me a sensação que não faz grande diferença quem é que inicia um post — desde que tenha interesse, a malta comenta e a discussão emerge. E com isso a comunidade vai ficando ativa e as pessoas começam a postar espontâneamente.

Penso que podia ser boa ideia experimentar com bots que criem posts com base em notícias de fontes pré-selecionadas (sem paywall, sem serem do Nónio, com cobertura de temas pouco batidos, jornalismo independente, etc.) Nem têm de ser notícias. Por exemplo episódios de podcasts como o Fumaça, o 45 graus ou o Inpertinente da FFMS também costumam ser bons. Ou videos de algum canal do YouTube, ou até sumários de links trending no masto.pt, enfim, pode-se pensar um pouco fora da caixa.

Aliás, que tal fazermos um levantamento de fontes que a comunidade gostaria de ver como origem de posts?

Partilha também :) eu calhei nisto por mero acaso mas parece que na França teve bastante mais exposição/divulgação e já conseguiram atingir o número de assinaturas necessárias. Em Portugal ainda faltam bastantes...

I just recognized the opportunity for a lighthearted joke, smiled when the thought crossed my mind, and wanted to share that fleeting moment with other people (which I hope the upvotes in my comment indicate I succeeded).

I realize I could be propagating stereotypes and engaging in lazy shitposting, but I honestly never though Arch users were actually bothered by this quip (honestly, I kind of admire you folks and always assumed your reaction to the joke was similar to that of the old Unix guy in that Dilbert comic: "here's a nickel, kid").

But thanks for bringing this perspective to my attention. I'll try to be more considerate in the future if I notice that such jokes could have a negative connotation. Cheers!
