It rained here on the front range all day on Saturday. They got dumped on in the Sangre de Cristos. Spot I saw was 1-1/2’ - 2’. Great start for our water supply next year!

I’ve never thought of APFS as slow. Didn’t realize it was.

About $22 currently plus shipping.

Your last paragraph is on point. At some point you have to realize that text doesn’t convey context and people can take what you say wrong. Text has its use but calling is often a lot faster to convey info when it gets more complex than one single point.

That’s why it’s still being used. Not a major reason to move on for MS.
Sad to see APFS not on the list (I know why, just wanted to compare).

Ohhhhh man. My friend’s father used to drive a Tempo to work. That thing was a steaming POS.

Great point. I can see that being a big draw.

I’m of the same mind. Luckily my entire family is fairly skeptical of things like this. While we want to know more about our ancestry (we know the culture we’re from as it’s pretty well documented, we would like to hone down where exactly we’re most likely from. Our last name hints at it in the region but it’s still unclear.) I would rather travel across the ocean and do manual research than give my DNA to any of the ancestry companies.

I hate those too. Especially on Murder She Wrote. I skipped every one of them.

I use my phone or watch as my clock or alarm but I have a rule to not look at the time if I wake up early. If I’m not wide awake I go back to sleep until my alarm goes off. It’s bliss even if it’s only for 15 more minutes since I wouldn’t know how long I’ve been out again.

When buying our first house in 2008 the mortgage company was pushing us to buy more by saying, “why are you purchasing this house at $197,000 when you can afford twice that?” My response was, “we’ve done the math, we can’t afford twice as much.” Never listen to a mortgage broker. They all want you to spend more so they make more.

Unless you watch them count your vote appropriately you can’t trust any type of voting so what’s the difference?
You have no idea what you’re missing with mail in only voting. It’s just so much easier that I vote in almost every local, state, and federal election now. I NEVER did that in a state where voting was done primarily through polling stations.
QuarterSwede 1w ago • 100%
Hell yeah! You can’t even go to polling stations in my state, they no longer exist. Mail in ballot only and FTW! Luckily my ballot drop box is in my neighborhood just 2 blocks away. Colorado rocks. My wife and I also already voted.

I take issue with these: administrative assistants, public relations specialists, airline desk staff who calm passengers with lost luggage, middle management, leadership professionals.
These all exist because humans aren’t perfect. I haven’t read the book but it’s hard to believe the author knows anything about how businesses operate if he thinks a healthy one can be successful without those positions.
Ex. I work for a startup that is growing rapidly and doesn’t have administrative assistants for higher levels. For the most part it’s a disaster leading to a lot of wasted time without them being as productive as they could be. AAs have skills that the regional leaders do not. It’s a symbiotic relationship.

This. I’m in a high paying job now because of this mentality. Started literally at the bottom as a cart attendant in the late 90s. I don’t outperform others because I’m a bootlicker. I do it to challenge myself and grow.
People that put minimal effort in are hurting themselves more than the company.

Look at what the panel max capacity is. If the panel is 150-200A then adding a level 2 charger isn’t that expensive (~$1500) typically. A level 3 runs ~ $3K. Most systems aren’t maxing 150A and definitely not 200A. Your landlord might be thinking it would be a LOT more, see next paragraph.
However, if the panel needs an upgrade then the price goes way up, $6K-$10K+, just for the panel upgrade. If service needs to be re-run to add more power to the building then the price is even more (and very hard to estimate without being on site). Obviously, those are very ballpark because each building’s system is different.
AYANEO is making another Android-based gaming handheld – but this one has a trick up its sleeve. The Pocket EVO is the world's first Android handheld with a 7-inch 120Hz OLED screen, according to the manufacturer. That high refresh rate should mean smoother gameplay, assuming there are enough titles to support it. Based on the design of the AYANEO 2S, the Pocket EVO boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 chipset, which will ensure it has plenty of grunt for AAA mobile gaming and emulation.

A small medium at large.
Looks to be based on GBA4iOS.
I miss getting on a plane and reading Skymall to see what batshit crazy stuff they had to sell. Anyone else?
My prints come out very well but I’m noticing on larger prints that one corner of my bed prints tighter than the opposite. What’s causing this? Printing on an Ender 3 Pro with upgraded metal extruder, beefier bed springs and metal levelers, and upgraded hot end. Not direct drive yet and no auto bed leveling.
In Colorado this year (2024), unaffiliated voters were mailed out their ballots for both the Democratic and Republican Presidential Primaries and get the chance to vote in one or the other (NOT both). I’m fairly centrist. I lean left on progressive ideals and right on economic (yeah, it’s fun /s). The question is, who’s should I put my vote in for? Is it better to vote for Biden or another candidate in the Democratic, or another candidate that isn’t Trump in the Republican. Again, we can only vote in one of the primaries or our vote won’t count if we vote in both. It’s one or the other. What is best?
Problem: when placed on the bottom, the jump button blocks the last comment in a thread. Solution: Need to be able to scroll past the top of the jump button on the last comment
When editing a comment and posting the edit, if you then want to re-edit the comment you get the original comment, not the edited version. This only happens when using the 3 dot menu on the right of the comment. If you tap and hold and use that edit, it shows the most recent. Supremely annoying.
When changing what gestures do in Settings > Gestures the color doesn’t change with the gesture you choose. Ex. Reply to Long swipe and bookmark to short swipe. The gestures change but reply now has a green background and bookmark is blue.
It looks like this is probably in the works since the Use System Text Size option doesn’t do anything currently but just in case it isn’t I’d like the option to increase text size from the system default.
