Yes and they apply while the device is off too.

Lix is the Nix CLI, Aux is everything else.

Looks neat! Will the gtk applications respond to the text color that you set in the settings?
RustyOperator 7mo ago • 100%
Wow, that's really fast for an application store! On a completely unrelated note, will it be possible, or rather could it be considered to add the ability to change the emoji font in the settings as currently there really is no quick and easy way to do that on linux.

Some paid games use drm which needs gplay services to function.

MicroG is what probably is making it work for you. However not everyone uses microG.

Why are so many people upset about the horse part of this? Like sure, I'm not into it, you're not into it, but think about it this way, lets say you could turn into any animal and retain your humanity and ability to consent, is there something wrong if animal you and someone else both consent to being intimate? After all you both still are people.
From what I've heard about Vaush, I don't like him, but lets at least call him out for things that are actually bad.

Since you're on GNOME you can try pop-shell it's the same tilling GNONE extension PopOS uses and it's out for GNOME 45 too.

Well that was uncalled for.
I checked your replies and it's mainly rage posting and rage baiting.
Enjoy "debating" somebody else.

As far as I recall all these huge companies weren't excluded from these open protocols and now look at them. For instance - email, try hosting your own email server and see how quickly you will be filtered to spam on most email providers.
A perfect example of something being embraced by huge companies, then extended, and then finally extinguished and no longer viable to do by small parties.
Gmail even marks new Proton mail account emails as possibly "malicious", yet does not do this for their own service.

You're missing the point, people don't want to defederate from threads just because it would be the biggest, but also because it's Facebook. How are people giving Facebook of all places the benefit of the doubt? This is insane. If they don't have an alteriror motive now, they will most definitely later.

So you want an alternative to closed source platforms, but you want said closed source platforms to be the biggest on the fediverse. Uuhh, yeah...

That's a bit sad to hear, but it's understandable. I guess the only thing that would have been nice was more communication from the devs/moderators.
Thank you for the suggestions! I'll look into them. Do you know any similar projects to Akkoma? Because Firefish never had any well working Android apps and using something related to Mastodon might work better with them?
Does anyone have any ideas on how we can get in contact with Kainoa or someone, because I really want to move instances and keep all of my account stuff. The server has been going down time and time again and I just want to move to something that isn't as likely to just not exist one day out of the blue.

Definitely COSMIC DE, can't wait to check out all the cool stuff they've been doing!
RustyOperator 12mo ago • 93%
They still haven't added DRM Leasing to Wayland, which is needed for SteamVR to work and considering KDE (has had it for literally years, since 2021) and even COSMIC DE (and it's not even out yet) both already have it, it's just rediculous.

Check out Mull or Mulch. Mull is a more private Firefox and Mulch is a more private Chrome. They are made by the DivestOS team, they also make DivestOS which is a lot more private Android version that supports a huge number of phones. That's how I'm also runing the latest version of Android 13 with the latest security updates on a phone from 2019. And there are much older devices supported.

I wouldn't recommend using Yandex, due to it's connections with the Russian government. You should check out privacyguides.org they have a lot of cool info about privacy respecting tools. However I also don't recommend anything Brave. The company was founded by a homophobe who was previously in charge of Mozilla, but left, because of community pressure.

I'd like to shout out Mull (Firefox based) and Mulch (Chrome based) web browsers. They are basically more secure and private versions of those app and they maintained by the devs of DivestOS which is the privacy Android OS that is recommended for devices that aren't Pixels.
