Too bad people underuse it.
Separating the prefixes from the unities is very useful even in calculations where both are there.

Unless that number means something different from US$ 3.5e9.
If you are one of those people that think your country uses the other "billion", just don't.

I’d avoid breathing any of it in
The powder can settle on your food just like if can settle on your lungs.
I'd recommend not using the same microwave you use for food to dry died desiccant.

Oh you can get through most degrees without properly learning linear algebra or statistics.
But those 3 are the knowledge that will pop here and there on everything you do, and leave you confused, incapable of understand things, and incapable of extending things if you don't know them. Usually, you won't even have to calculate anything, you just have to know them.

Whatever course you do in STEM, you don't want to half-ass the first semester of calculus, linear algebra and statistics.
In fact, you probably want to go out of your way to actually learn linear algebra (because I've never seen anybody really learn it on the course, you need to apply it) and statistics (because you want to go deeper).

Well, there was a time those were both the same.
All of those companies became loved when they had 1 to 10 people in there.

We don't. We keep just doing things and good things keep happening afterwards.
We don't even know if those two facts are linked in any way.

Well, yeah, that's half of the point of the book. That the movie tried to preserve, but it would take screen time away from dinosaurs attacking people.
(What was the right choice if you ask me.)

Ok. That is a very compelling use case. I guess over some size they become a non-brainier.

You want to minimize wight and vibration on the printing head. And everything that deals with pellets adds a great deal of both.
In theory you can manage to melt the pellets in a static machine away from the printing head. But you will get a lot of new problems getting it where you need and switching it on and off as needed.

All your fp variables turning into nan? Nah, that's just another day.
As a developer that learned it once, a long time ago, naturally I sign to the pledge... I have some doubts if I should mark it NSFW.
All those student protests on the US seem to be about stopping their universities from supporting the Israel government. But supporting a foreign government is not a normal thing for a university to do, why do they do it? Is there some educational or research resource they get?
The links like !NoStupidQuestions@lemmy.world. I have had a pretty bad time making those work. I have tried searching for them at the communities page, and removing the exclamation mark and pasting them on my instance (lemmy.world/c/NoStupidQuestions@lemmy.world). Some times one of those works, other times my instance finds nothing. And if I go directly to the home instance of the community, it doesn't bring my login. What is the recommended way to use those?
