Nah I've never had issues with latency and don't play anything competitive I've always just prefered wired to be honest. My favourite controllers were the wired 360 controllers that got rid of the massive bump at the back and were a really nice weight. I wish they did an official modern wired only version.

Yeh it was the text that was throwing me. I've customised my own controllers with different coloured buttons etc before so that part was easily explainable but the text is professionally added and I never knew that was a thing people did (seems like a waste of money to me)

Turns out it is a design labs custom one as per the other responses though. Learn something new every day!

Yeh this one cost me £4 and came with a recharchable battery pack. I've always used my controller wired (playing on PC) but now maybe I'll try wireless!

Cheers man for the reply. Yeh it seems like this is the case I just didn't know that it was a thing.

I've bought coloured buttons and modded my own controllers before but it was the text on the bottom that was throwing me as it has been professionally added! I didn't know that design lab was a thing :)

Yeh, it is unfortunstely a micro USB controller but it cost me £4 with a recharable battery pack inside so I'm not gonna complain at all. Just didn't know where it had come from! Thanks for the reply :)

I knew custom controllers were a thing but honestly the quality looked too good that I presumed it wasn't a custom one. Thank you for the reply though! Solves that mystery :D

Thank you for the info, I just presumed it wasn't custom as it looked too well done and I wasn't aware of this service. Thanks so much for the reply!

  • I'm trying to identify what special edition this Xbox controller is but I'm struggling to find any info online that matches it. It is grey and red with metallic red d-pad and triggers and has "you died" printed in the centre at the bottom. Initially that made me think it was some kind of dark souls related edition but searching those words just brings me up endless threads of people having issues with using a controller and the game. I've scrolled through lists and lists of pictures of special editions and can't seem to find the right one, so does anyone have any insight into what this may be? Maybe it is one someone has had made for themselves as I found it in a charity shop but it seems too good quality to be custom work and is definitely an official controller. Any help appreciated!

I was always a huge knuckles fan so couldn't wait for this release and actually being able to play as him, got it just after release for Christmas!

The bonus of playing him in the older games with the special cart was even better, gliding across chemical zone like it was nothing! The practice for the special stages using sonic 1 was great too!

Best character in that universe hands down for me!

It isn't about stubbornly not letting people past it is called riding defensively. People pass far too fucking close in their cars and usually at too high a speed. If you place yourself in a position where they can't pass you until there is enough room to do so safely then it protects yourself more from these idiotic cunts. I couldn't care less if I am pissing you off if it means you aren't going to put my life at risk trying to squeeze past me.

Bikes have as much right to be on the road as cars and if you wanted to could ride right in the middle of the lane and that is still completely within the law if that is what you are so concerned about. In fact being the smaller and more vulnerable of the road users the bike has the right of way in the eyes of the law so the driver, by law, should be giving way to the cyclist. They should also be giving 1.5m of space when they do pass the cyclist which 75% of people don't do.

Most drivers don't know the rules and laws of the road and just make up their own like you are now pretending people are "taking the law into their own hands" because you car brained fucks want to get to where you are going 30 seconds faster.

It does depend how hilly your area is, mid drive will be a lot better at tackling hills when compared to a hub drive motor so I think you should factor this into your decision.

When I built mine (10 years ago) mid drive was considerably more expensive as well although I'm not sure on the prices now, I presume it is still similar as hub motors are generally just cheaper tech. Mid drive will also come with additional costs in the form of wear and tear, it puts considerable amounts force through your drive chain which will wear out chains, cassettes etc a lot fast so you will be needing to replace them as general maintainance when they start to wear out, you also need to bear in mind you may snap chains due to the additional torque going through them.

Hub motors are going to be cheaper to maintain as well as install. Essentially you are just adding the wheel with the motor on, running the cabling to your controller, battery etc and away you go.

You should add some form of torque bracing with those little arm things, you can get a battery that attaches to your bottle cage mounts but it is a pretty simple install.

I personally think you should go rear hub and it keeps the weight over the back of the bike, it drives the correct wheel so you weight keeps it from just spinning out but also I have heard of motors twisting forks from the added torque where as I've never heard of one twisting a frame in the back.

The easiest will 100% be a front hub motor but then all that weight is over the front of the bike and it just seems wrong to me personally to drive a front wheel but you need to weigh up the factors and decide what is best for you :)

Wow, someone else that actually feels the way I do about these things, particularly the eating part. The whole process of preparing, cooking and eating food feels like such a waste of time to me, I wish I could just take a pill or supplement that actually gave me everything I needed as if I were eating a healthy balanced diet and then maybe eat one meal a week for the actual taste of food.

I don't know if I am the best person to ask as I am not really a "power user" or anything. It sends and receives emails and isnt google which is all I really need, I can't really talk about any features it may or may not have that people might look for.

I like that I can make up to 10 different address from within that same account, send emails from any of those accounts from just a drop down box without logging in and out of different accounts.

I like that they give me credit to my account based in how much space I actually use in my inbox.

I recently upgraded to an "ultimate" type account which covers all their products for me and my gf to try and encourage her to move away from google. The way the drive works is a bit counter intuitive in my opinion and the password manager thing seems to work well across both windows and android but I've never used a password manager programme before so it could be dogshit in comparison to others, but it seems to work well for me.

Never tried the VPN as I pay for AirVPN.

Sorry, not very insightful for you in terms or details but I like it a lot and it all works well for me, I've never had issues with any of the apps or logging in and accessing my stuff. The primary thing for me was moving away from google.
