I've installed Amazon's app store, and FDroid and never had an issue. Are these not considered third-party stores?

This sounds like me before trump, the pandemic, losing my brother, aunt and father-in-law to COVID (due to them not taking it seriously because of politics) and finally getting laid off from my job of 16 years.
Now I eat a handful a pills every day just so I can make it through the day without losing my shit on the next person who slightly annoys me.

I absolutely HATED Final Fantasy Tactics. I picked it up shortly after finishing FF7 and was expecting a similar game... but I stuck with it and played it for many hours. I got to one part that I just couldn't get past, so many days trying and retrying and never having any success.
It got to the point where I would hate play it. Determined to not let it beat me. I'm the end, it beat me.
Today any time I see it mentioned online people talk about their love of it, but it never brought me any joy. I feel like I must have missed something.

Out of curiosity, is there a reason that this couldn't be an Android app? I would think that there should be some way to check a cable's functionality by plugging it into a phone and a computer.

I'm in the Indianapolis area and just got off the phone with my home owners insurance company about damage to my roof. They are attributing it to Hurricane Helene.

I kept putting it off... I wanted it when I was 20 but couldn't afford it. I still wanted it at 30, but didn't want to spend the money. At 40 I finally had more than enough in my HSA to cover my annual deductable, so I scheduled it. And I've LOVED it! However, around 45 I noticed that my near sight isn't as good as it has been. Now at 48 I'm realizing that I'll soon need reading glasses.
I still think it was worth it... but I REALLY wish I had done it in my 20s so I could have enjoyed going glasses free for all those years.

The things to remember is that before OpenAI released ChatGTP, Google already had their own version that they were aiming for AGI, but they had no intention of releasing it for public consumption. They knew it would bring prosperity and wanted to keep that all inhouse.
For good or bad, this is coming and I personally believe that any models that have been trained on public information (or publicly posted information) should be considered part of the public domain. No corporation or government should own an AI.

Cis-male here, my best friend was a trans woman and when she first started her transition I asked the question that should only come from a close friend: are you going to keep it? She laughed and said "oh yeah, I love having a dick!" and that helped me better understand that her journey was about so much more than genitalia and sex.
So, for me the question wasn't asked because I didn't think she wasn't 'truly' a trans woman if she didn't get it, but it was just out of honest ignorance and misconception. That said, I didn't think it is really anyone's business what's in your underwear - and I would have accepted an answer of "it's none of your business" if she didn't want to share.

We need municipal datacenters that can be integrated into the municipal water departments, and municipal electrical grid. Use the hot water to provide 'on tap' hot water for local businesses that need it.

Oh, don't worry about upper management, they can continue to work remotely - but they'll still have dedicated offices in several locations in case they are forced to travel. And that will be one less office for the schmucks who have to come into the office.
And this isn't just Amazon. This is an orchestrated push by the CEOs of many large companies, all conspiring together to claw back some control of their employees. And you'll do it because fuck you, of course you'll do it... what choice have you got?
I find it hard to believe that, outside of work computers, many people would be choosing Windows over Mac or Linux, especially is AI is their goal. I'm also curious why the comments are turned off for this article unless it is a paid ad for Microsoft.
I have always called a light top with a full zipper to be a jacket, however the people I'm surrounded by insist on calling it a sweatshirt. I'm prepared to be wrong, just wondering if I'm the only one.
