I have an X series Jackson Soloist. Absolutely change the screws. Also next time you have your Floyd Rose out, tighten the whammy bar post on the bridge itself.
As for tuning. I usually tune G, D, B, A, HIGH E, LOW E. If you have the bridge blocked off (I use a broken pencil with masking tape wrapped around it until it's the right thickness), it really does make it easier to tune that way. And always tune in the playing position as gravity will affect the tension of the bridge.

Lol
Trying to learn more metal riffs. I'm not really a beginner, but not really intermediate yet. I've played off and on for years and years, but never took it too seriously. So my question, what are some rather simple but fun metal riffs/solos to play?

Update from Fender. The SL5X was a fender special run that featured an HSH pickup configuration and blue burst finish. Other than that it's the same as a series x soloist.

The Spark40 has an app and Bluetooth. You just control everything from your phone. Check out some YouTube reviews

Ordered a Jackson Soloist which will be here today. Ordering a Positive Grid Spark 40 in the next couple of days. I imagine I'll use downloaded presets for the Spark 40 that resemble popular thrash metal setups since that's mostly what I play. But I will also browse other presets.
I just jam in my bedroom for funsies. No plans to play shows or anything.

The sentence in the meme isn't/doesn't contain a parenthetical though. You could just write it without the parenthesis and it still makes sense.

Hopefully it's already been taken care of. It is used and bought from a music store. I guess there's no way of knowing until it's here

Two things: imgur.com images do not open when I click the preview button. Thing two, we still really need a reply box at the top of threads not bottom. Posted from Galaxy s22 using Samsung Internet browser.

Nice
From what little I can find the SL5X and SL3 are essentially the same guitar except the 5x has HSH pickup configuration and is manufactured in Indonesia. Can anyone clarify for me a bit more on the differences between these two guitars?

Definitely not afraid of software. I'll look into that
Had a deal I couldn't refuse on a chuggy chuggy shreddy guitar. Need an decent practice amp. I'll definitely be playing some clean stuff or very little over drive stuff of my favorite 90s songs. But obviously the guitar is a thrash animal and that is my favorite shit, so what tiny amp combo can at least put out something remotely close to heavy? Price range is $250 used or less
I tend to noodle around and play metal, but I want to find a guitar that has some versatility. I'd just buy a Jackson otherwise. Full disclosure I'm 36 and haven't played since I was a teenager. However, my friend let me borrow his Fender resonator acoustic recently and I reallllllllly want to get an electric now. As looking at the Yamaha Pacifica but it seems like the tone might not be what I'm looking for. I do however love the look of the guitar.

Not even a little bit and I was on Reddit since like 2011
The authorities said the plane, which took off from Las Vegas, crashed outside of an airport in Murrieta, Calif., during the pilot’s second approach.
I'm 36, and while my love life has been varied and interesting, over the last few years I've started to want to settle down. I know it doesn't happen overnight. But recently it's been weighing on me more and more. I reminisce about past relationships. I feel hopeless about meeting someone in the future who shares my values. On the one hand you hear things like "happiness comes from within", but on the other we are social animals and 99% of us want to feel loved and to love.
I've burned through like every audio drama I can think of. Trying Audible. I like cyberpunk and sci-fi like Neal Stephenson. Super dark and gritty fantasy like the Netflix show Castlevania or the audio drama Aethuran: Dark Saga. I'm open to any recommendations. Thank you.
Trying to find more audio dramas to listen to
Since I'm having difficulty clicking links to get to lemmy stuff and usually get a kbin 404, what are your favorite non meme kbin zines.
I wish it was love
Like I'm trying to find magazines for meditation. But only one dead magazine shows up.
Basically the title. I want to click the link to a lemmy site or whatever and it shows up within kbin.
I imagine it's because "active" is showing recently created zines. That's a poor algorithm for what is actually active. It should be based on number of comments and threads. It's making it very difficult to find hip places I might want to subscribe to.
Just a heads up. Idk if it's a server thing or people are formatting wrong
I always have trouble firing my glutes. When I do squats it feels like all quads.
Haven't been feeling well and I don't see my therpist for a week. Is there a place to talk?
I believe reddit had something like that. I know there is already audiodrama and podcast magazines (or are we colloquially calling them "kbins"?)
**EDIT:** [https://kbin.social/m/FindAKbin](https://kbin.social/m/FindAKbin) seems to be what I'm looking for. Everyone should subscribe there if you're looking for the same thing With things really picking up around here I'd like a magazine I can go to to ask people about other magazines. Search isn't always useful, and sometimes you don't even know what you're looking for. Browsing other users talking about magazines they like would be a nice resource.
For me flair is probably the most important. I follow a lot of organized sports and being able to quickly identify which team someone supports helps the conversation move along without having to write "as a fan of..." in every single comment. And this isn't a like talking shit, sports guy thing. It's genuinely extremely useful for broadening the depth of the conversation. Also not having to scroll to find the reply box. Super annoying. Super easy fix. That being said I'm all in on kbin. Deleted Reddit. Not going back.
